Some Gurus are receiving more chats than others, so we have put together a few tips if you would like more chats.
1) AUTOMATED EMAIL REPLY
Most people don’t mind paying to get a quick reply to a question. But you have to give them the option.
Here’s an automated inbox reply some Gurus have setup for their email:
Hi. Thanks for the email.
Please note I am currently experiencing high volumes of emails and might not be able to reply.
You can contact me anytime that suits you for a text chat on Timon. Download the app and search for Seth.

This doesn’t have to be an auto-responder to every email. You can save it somewhere, then copy and paste it as a reply to anyone wanting to ‘pick your brain.’ They’ll think it’s an automated email.
2) ADD TIMON TO YOUR EMAIL SIGNATURE
TIMON is a new form of communication which should be included in your email signature, just like your phone number and social media details. But because it’s new, you need to help them understand.
Something like this (in blue, below) works well.
EMAIL SIGNATURE EXAMPLE
You will notice a link on the word ‘here’ in the example above. This links to your unique Guru profile. So if someone clicks it, they will be sent directly to your profile in TIMON. It will also take them to the app download page, if they don’t have it yet. To get your unique Guru profile link, go to your profile on the Timon app and click the share icon.

Go to your profile in the TIMON app and click that icon to share your profile. The app will let you share via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, SMS, Email and more.
TIP TO GET YOUR UNIQUE PROFILE LINK: Share your profile with yourself (eg. to your email) and you will receive a long link.

Use the one from your profile as the link on the ‘Get it here’ email signature above.
3) LOWER YOUR RATE
Nobody is saying you aren’t worth the rate you’re charging, but good practice suggests you start low, then increase once you get a feel for the demand vs. the convenience of TIMON. The biggest category of chat we’re noticing is in the R45 – R65 / 6 minute bracket.
4) ADD A NEW FEE STRUCTURE TO YOUR RATE CARD
One of our more popular legal Gurus now offers a ‘pay as you go’ pricing option for new clients. This is handy for clients who need a quick answer or opinion on something. Then they simply share their TIMON profile to new clients, using the share button shown above.
This will also let you share your TIMON profile via LinkedIn, Email, SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter or Slack.
